Anfa Place

SHOPPING

Halfway along the Casablanca Corniche, near the Twin Center and the upmarket Anfa district, Anfa Place is the smaller, more design-forward counterpart to Morocco Mall further west. The lifestyle centre is open-plan rather than enclosed — wide pedestrian streets between low buildings, palm-shaded squares, and a line of cafés and restaurants opening onto Atlantic-facing terraces. It is the easier modern-Casablanca pause for visitors who want a coffee with a view rather than a full shopping day.

The shop mix is Moroccan and international: a handful of European fashion brands, a Carrefour Market for groceries and souvenirs, a few design-led local boutiques, and a strong line-up of cafés and restaurants spilling onto the open-air promenade. Free entry; ticketing only at the cinema. Anfa Place is built directly on the seafront, which means that unlike Morocco Mall — where the sea is at one end — every café terrace at Anfa Place has the Atlantic in view.

Late afternoon into sunset is the strongest window — the open terraces catch the best light, the Atlantic glows from the west, and the cafés hit their evening rhythm. Weekday afternoons are quietest; weekends from Friday through Sunday are livelier without becoming chaotic. The centre works as a warmer-weather break between the Hassan II Mosque and the Morocco Mall end of the Corniche, or as a post-beach coffee stop on the way back to central Casablanca. It is also a useful weather-proof option for shorter visits when the full Morocco Mall is overkill.
